Field Service Engineer

JRS Associates have partnered with an exciting company in Hayes to recruit a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer.

As a core member of the field team, you ll be driving high standards of fault diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and on-site overhauls of supported products. If you re a highly skilled mechanical expert with a passion for operational excellence and customer satisfaction, this could be the role for you!

The Package:

• Salary: £34,000 to £37,000 per annum
• Benefits: Company Van, Paid door to door
• Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 4:45pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out fault diagnosis, repair, and overhaul of engines, transmissions, axles, and more
• Ensure safe handling and high standards during inspections, disassembly, and reassembly
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and provide troubleshooting expertise
• Maintain defect-free products and adhere to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards
• Provide on-the-job training for new engineers and apprentices when assigned
• Maintain open communication with customers, providing regular updates on work progress
• Work efficiently to achieve operational KPIs, labor time targets, and technical data collection
• Ensure all jobs are completed within agreed timescales and suggest improvements to operational efficiency

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in a mechanical and engineering environment
• Strong diagnostic skills for large diesel engines and transmissions
• Proficiency with tooling and diagnostic equipment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Customer relationship skills
• Competence in Microsoft Office and relevant diagnostic systems
• Valid driving license
