Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Reporting to: Operational ManagementContract Type: Temporary to PermanentWorking Hours: Monday to Friday

Role Summary:

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient handling of lighting, rigging, and other rental assets. You will ensure high standards of inventory control and service delivery, while supporting Equipment Technicians with the cleaning and preparation of equipment. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term career potential for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:Operational Duties:
  • Safely and efficiently move goods across various operational areas.
  • Load and unload vehicles in line with procedures and risk assessments.
  • Accurately scan and record rental assets using RTPro via computers and hand scanners.
  • Identify and count non-coded equipment, entering accurate data into the system.
  • Prioritise and tag sub-hire equipment, placing it in designated areas.
  • Maintain clean and organised workspaces.
  • Inspect returned goods for damage or missing items and report discrepancies.
  • Use and maintain PPE and manual handling equipment correctly.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment and team culture.
  • Escalate stock anomalies or inaccuracies to the Department Supervisor or Equipment Manager.
  • Ensure equipment for dispatch is routed to the correct bay at the correct time.
  • Collaborate with Department Supervisors, Equipment Manager, and inventory teams to maintain stock levels.
  • Work closely with other operational staff and management to meet business needs.
Asset Management, Storage & Quality Control:
  • Handle all equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare and test equipment in line with company procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Escalate inventory and asset control concerns promptly.
  • Strive to maintain high standards of equipment quality and service delivery.
  • Follow company procedures for quality control checks and scanning protocols.
Health & Safety:
  • Promote and maintain a culture of safety at all times.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies, including manual and mechanical handling procedures.
  • Keep pedestrian and evacuation routes clear and hazard-free.
  • Report health and safety concerns through appropriate channels.
Essential Skills & Attributes:
  • Strong commitment to quality and service standards.
  • IT literate with the ability to learn internal asset management systems.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn.
  • Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as required.
