Offer Up to £42,000 Full-Time, Permanent
Hi
We're supporting a national organisation on the lookout for a skilled Application & Systems Manager to oversee the performance, optimisation, and user adoption of their key business applications. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a strong technical understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem, who enjoys blending hands-on problem solving with user training, system improvement, and stakeholder engagement.
What you'll be doing:
- Oversee and maintain Microsoft 365 applications, SharePoint sites, Power Platform tools, and cloud services
- Manage day-to-day functionality of the internal service desk, Adobe tools, and email communications platform
- Act as the first point of contact for application-related issues, triaging tickets and escalating where needed
- Build and manage internal SharePoint portals and knowledge centres to improve accessibility and productivity
- Develop basic user guides, training videos, and deliver short training sessions
- Support system upgrades, new feature rollouts, and emerging technologies (e.g. Copilot, Teams Premium)
- Ensure data security, user access controls, compliance, and software licensing are proactively managed
- Liaise with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure business needs are met and systems deliver value
What we're looking for:
- At least 2 years' experience managing Microsoft 365 tools and cloud-based business applications
- Strong working knowledge of SharePoint (site creation and administration essential)
- Familiarity with support desk tools (e.g. Freshdesk or similar) and business communication tools
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent stakeholder and user support skills
- Experience creating simple training content and helping end users confidently adopt systems
- Understanding of software security, backup processes, and role-based access controls
- Previous experience in the public, education, charity, or regulated sector would be ideal
This is a remote-first role with travel required for stakeholder meetings and engagement across the UK.
