Building Surveyor

The successful Building Surveyor will work closely with Senior Building Surveyors and Associates, delivering projects from inception through to completion. You will be exposed to a wide range of surveying and project duties, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Building Surveyor looking to progress their career within a supportive consultancy environment, with clear routes for development and chartership support.

Duties of the Building Surveyor to include:

• Acting as Contract Administrator and or Employer's Agent where required
• Preparation of project designs, specifications and feasibility reports
• Managing projects of varying size and complexity
• Undertaking building surveys and site inspections
• Preparation of tender documentation, evaluations and recommendations
• Providing contractual advice pre and post contract
• Preparing existing and proposed plans in CAD format
• Managing and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams

The Person?

The successful Building Surveyor will have a solid technical grounding and a client focused mindset. The ideal candidate will fit the following description:

Degree qualified in Building Surveying or equivalent (RICS accredited)

• Strong technical knowledge across core building surveying disciplines
• Able to manage projects with minimal supervision
• Confident communicator with the ability to build client relationships
• Interested in business development and networking
• Able to delegate effectively and develop leadership capability
• Comfortable working within the public sector environment
