THE COMPANY

This small but growing company specialising in container trade analysis is looking to expand its data team. The role involves monitoring and analysing global container traffic, compiling data from a wide network of shipping companies, and producing monthly trade reports. The company currently relies on outsourced data providers and is expanding the team due to increased workload and project opportunities. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic environment and play a key role in delivering valuable trade insights.

THE ROLE

The client is looking for a hands-on analyst with strong Excel skills to join a small, collaborative team focused on container trade data. You'll work extensively in Excel to perform trend analysis, generate reports, and query data, with some use of VBA for automation. The role involves working with pre-set and custom reports drawn from a central database, though data ownership remains external. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll liaise with various stakeholders in a close-knit company environment. Experience with or interest in SQL, Python, or R is a plus, as there's an opportunity to support the team's transition towards more advanced tools.

SKILLS + EXPERIENCE

• Strong Excel experience for reporting
• VBA experience for automation
