Freelance Site Engineer - Highways & Civils
Location: Newport Pagnell
Duration: 3 Months +
Rate: 300- 400 per day CIS
Start Date: Asap

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join a highways and civils project in Newport Pagnell. The role requires strong setting out and quality control experience, working alongside the site team to ensure smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out for highways, drainage, earthworks, and other civil works
• Conducting surveys and providing accurate site measurements
• Ensuring quality assurance and compliance with specifications
• Liaising with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
• Producing as-built drawings and maintaining accurate records
• Conducting site inspections and resolving technical issues

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer in highways and civil engineering projects
• Strong background in setting out using GPS, total stations, and other survey equipment
• Knowledge of quality control and construction standards
• CSCS card (essential)
• SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred but not essential)
• Own laptop and relevant software (AutoCAD, etc.) preferred
• Full UK driving license and own transport
