Facilities Manager - SEN School (Westminster & Kensington Sites)

Are you an experienced Facilities Manager with a strong background in compliance, health & safety, and school operations? Tempest Resourcing are seeking a dedicated, organised, and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and management of two sites for a special educational needs (SEN) school, one located in Westminster and the other in Kensington.

Role: Facilities Manager
Location: Westminster & Kensington
Salary: 30,000 - 37,500 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:
As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that both school sites are safe, secure, and well-maintained, providing a positive environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your key responsibilities will include managing day-to-day facilities operations, overseeing health and safety compliance, and maintaining the buildings and grounds to the highest standards. You will also manage contractors, ensure the smooth running of school events, and coordinate with staff to address any facilities-related needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of two school sites, ensuring all facilities are safe, functional, and welcoming.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and school policies.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement health and safety measures.
• Manage school premises, including overseeing cleaning, repairs, and general upkeep.
• Liaise with external contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure quality service delivery.
• Implement energy-saving initiatives and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Provide a safe environment for both students and staff, ensuring a prompt response to any emergencies or issues that arise.
• Support school events and activities, ensuring facilities are prepared and fit for purpose.

About You:

• Previous experience as a Facilities Manager, ideally within an educational or SEN setting.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, and external contractors.
• Proactive and able to work independently, using initiative to resolve issues quickly.
• A flexible and positive attitude with a passion for supporting the school's needs.
