Join Elysium as an ER Advisor FTC, where you will be instrumental in maintaining a positive, productive, and compliant work environment. You will address and resolve employee concerns, ensure adherence to company policies and legal regulations, and contribute to the development and implementation of the employment relations advisory service. The role will deliver the provision of a comprehensive ER advice and support service to managers within designated regions and supporting other regions as required. Ensuring compliance with Employment Law, applicable legislation and Elysium Policies and Procedures. Taking responsibility of logging all ER cases, including but not limited to disciplinary, capability, grievance and appeal cases, and provide reports and trend data to the Head of HR - Operations & Employee Relations as required. The role will deliver a comprehensive, professional and enabling service for Elysium managers by providing effective people management for the business, coaching and developing management capability to enable them manage employment relations issues effectively. As an ER Advisor you will work closely with the operating HRBP's and ensure high risk and complex ER matters are passed to them and jointly supported. This is a fixed term contract for 10 months. As an ER Advisor FTC, you will: Be the first point of contact for managers within the Elysium services. Provide guidance and advisory support to employees and management on various employee relations issues, including but not limited to workplace conduct, disciplinary actions, and grievances. Investigate employee complaints and conflicts, ensuring a fair and thorough process, and recommend appropriate resolutions. Participate in the development and delivery of training programs related to employee relations, company policies, and compliance with employment laws in conjunction with the operational HR business partners. Assist in the review and development of company policies to ensure they are current, compliant with legal standards, and align with best practice. Work closely with HR colleagues and management to identify trends in employee relations and develop proactive strategies to improve workplace culture. To keep an accurate and confidential record of all cases so that we have a running commentary of actions, timelines and status to date To ensure all ACAS Early Conciliation Cases and ETs, from the outset, have a chronology of events with supporting files/evidence embedded on it with risk and costs being tracked. Keep up to date with legislation, case law, equality & diversity and best practice in order to update managers, and the wider HR operational team. Ensure all investigations and formal hearings are prepared for thoroughly with robust reports completed and that they are all conducted in line with policy and procedural timelines. Ensure the write up of the reports is accurate and to a high standard and contains a chronology of events in relation to the case with supporting documents embedded in the report.Keep packs filed together in one central place for easy reference with an easy to identify file name. To make the Head of HR and Legal aware of any ACAS and ET cases from the outset What you will need to be successful: 3 -5 years' experience in a relevant or equivalent role Experience of working in a unionised environment with practical experience of understanding Disciplinary, Grievance, Performance & Absence Management and proactive HR activities to support the business Experience of building effective relationships with managers, stakeholders and partners Experience of negotiating, facilitating and influencing to achieve desired outcomes Member of CIPD or equivalent qualification Ability to work effectively alone and as a member of a team.
