Are you a people-focused professional with a passion for delivering excellent customer service within social housing? We are working with a London-based housing provider seeking an experienced Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) to join their team on an initial 3-6 month contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting residents during planned works and improvement programmes, ensuring clear communication and a positive customer experience throughout.
The RoleAs a Resident Liaison Officer, you will act as the main point of contact between residents, contractors, and internal teams. You will ensure residents are fully informed, supported, and satisfied throughout works being carried out to their homes.
Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary liaison for residents during planned maintenance and refurbishment works
Provide clear, timely communication regarding schedules, access arrangements, and progress updates
Manage resident queries and complaints professionally and efficiently
Carry out resident visits before, during, and after works
Support vulnerable residents, ensuring individual needs are identified and addressed
Maintain accurate records of all interactions and outcomes
Work closely with contractors and project teams to ensure smooth delivery of works
Previous experience in a Resident Liaison Officer or similar customer-facing housing role
Experience working within social housing, local authority, or housing association settings
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confident managing difficult conversations and resolving complaints
Organised with good administrative and IT skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
