As they continue to grow, they are looking for a dynamic People Manager to join their team and lead the way in handling employee grievances and nurturing an environment that encourages engagement, collaboration, and continuous development.

Role Overview

The People Manager will play a pivotal role in managing employee relations, addressing grievances, and supporting the overall development of our company culture. You will be responsible for providing guidance, resolving conflicts, and ensuring that staff concerns are dealt with in a fair and transparent manner. You will also contribute to strengthening our company values and improving the employee experience through proactive initiatives that align with our vision for a thriving workplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grievance Management: Serve as the first point of contact for employees with grievances, ensuring concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner. Mediate and resolve disputes effectively while ensuring fairness and adherence to company policies.
  • Employee Relations: Foster strong relationships across all levels of the organization, offering advice and support to managers and employees on all matters related to workplace conflicts, disciplinary actions, and employee wellbeing.
  • Cultural Development: Lead initiatives that drive engagement, diversity, and inclusion, helping to cultivate an environment that reflects our values and promotes collaboration and mutual respect.
  • Conflict Resolution: Apply your expert knowledge in conflict management to ensure the resolution process is empathetic, impartial, and compliant with legal frameworks.
  • Training and Support: Work closely with managers to coach and mentor them in handling sensitive employee issues and promote positive communication within teams.
  • Policy and Procedure: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop, update, and implement HR policies that address grievances and enhance workplace culture.
  • Employee Wellbeing: Act as a key driver in supporting employee mental health, wellbeing, and work-life balance, ensuring resources are available and accessible for staff members in need.
Who You Are:
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in an HR or People Manager role, with a focus on grievance handling, employee relations, and culture development.
  • Strong understanding of HR laws, employee relations best practices, and conflict resolution techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • Empathetic and a natural problem solver with a passion for supporting staff and resolving workplace conflicts.
  • Experience in implementing and managing culture-building initiatives that enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
