Freight Forwarding Executive

Our client are seeking an experienced freight forwarder to join their lively team. As an Operations Executive, you will deliver exceptional customer service and will be responsible for managing export, import, and domestic operations across air, sea, road, and courier services.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange and have oversight of export, import and UK domestic operations from start to finish whether this be AIR SEA or ROAD/COURIER.
• Investigate and plan most appropriate route for shipments
• Complete International Shipping and Customs Documentation
• Complete costing & billing for both import and export jobs
• Work in accordance with international regulations

Key attributes

• Experience in freight forwarding (essential)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Motivated self-starter
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and in-house systems like Cargowise an advantage

Benefits

• 21 days holiday per annum + Bank Holidays. This will increase by one day for every year s service up to a maximum of 25 days with an extra 2 days given after 10 years service
