IT Applications Specialist - CAD / PLM (permanent)

Location: Surrey

Salary: £45,000-£55,000 + benefits

Clearance: Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance

If you like your IT roles hands-on, fast-moving, and genuinely close to real engineering, this is for you.

You'll be the person who keeps the digital backbone of a high-tech engineering environment running managing CAD, PLM, and PDM systems that design and build mission-critical hardware.

• Own and support engineering applications like SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, Teamcenter, or Windchill.
• Keep everything licensed, patched, and secure .
• Build smart automations and monitoring to make repetitive fixes a thing of the past.
• Work directly with engineers and project teams to improve how systems talk to each other.
• Take old processes, make them modern, and leave them better than you found them.
• Document everything properly because you actually know why that matters.

• Solid background supporting CAD/PLM tools in engineering or manufacturing.
• Experience managing license servers, updates, and patch cycles.
• Confident with Windows Server, SQL, hybrid environments (Azure experience a bonus).
• Scripting chops in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Clear communicator who can bridge IT and engineering.
