As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Arboriculturist to join their Dorking-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role and make a lasting impact through high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities

In this senior role, you will take ownership of complex projects, support team development, and build client relationships. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading tree surveys and assessments in line with BS 5837:2012 and other relevant standards.
• Overseeing the preparation of technical documents, including Arboricultural Impact Assessments, Arboricultural Method Statements, and Tree Protection Plans.
• Conducting advanced tree health assessments, risk evaluations, and hazard surveys.
• Providing expert advice to clients, guiding them through arboricultural challenges.
• Managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring the highest quality standards.
• Supporting and mentoring junior arboriculturists and contributing to team development.
• Assisting in business development through client engagement and proposal preparation.

Required Skills and Experience

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• A Level 4 in arboriculture.
• Significant consultancy experience, including managing projects, preparing reports, and advising clients.
• Expert knowledge of BS 5837:2012 and related arboricultural standards.
• A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable Attributes

• Chartered status or membership in a professional body such as the Arboricultural Association or the Royal Forestry Society.
• Experience in ecological or conservation projects, offering a multidisciplinary perspective.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience in business development.
