About the Role:

As Deputy Head of English, you will:

• Support the Curriculum Team Leader in delivering high-quality teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4
• Take a lead in developing an engaging, inclusive curriculum tailored to meet the needs of all learners
• Monitor and evaluate student outcomes, supporting intervention strategies where needed
• Inspire and support colleagues, acting as a role model for outstanding classroom practice
• Champion literacy across the school and contribute to a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement

About You:

To succeed as Deputy Head of English, you should:

• Have strong subject knowledge and a track record of successful English teaching
• Demonstrate leadership potential or experience with curriculum development, data analysis, and coaching
• Be passionate about fostering a love of English in students of all abilities
• Be a reflective practitioner, committed to professional growth and collaborative working
