Job Requirements/Description
- Supervising classes when teachers are absent.
- Ensuring students remain engaged and follow the set lesson plan.
- Managing classroom behavior and maintaining discipline.
- Assisting students with their learning when necessary.
- Reporting any issues or incidents to senior staff.
- Supporting the school with other duties, such as exam invigilation and administrative tasks.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence and assertiveness.
- Adaptability and resilience.
- A good understanding of school policies and safeguarding procedures.
- No formal teaching qualification is required, but experience working with young people (e.g., in education, youth work, or tutoring) is beneficial.
- A degree or relevant qualifications (such as Level 3 Teaching Assistant or HLTA status) can be advantageous.
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is typically required.
