Assembly Operative

My client is seeking a skilled Assembly Operative to join their production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling production assemblies and sub-assemblies, adhering to quality standards and test procedures. This role involves building various assemblies from kits, performing functionality testing, and participating in continuous improvement processes.

Salary: £26,352 per annum
Working Hours: Mon-Thurs 8am-4:30pm Fri 8am 1pm

Assembly Operative Responsibilities:

• Assemble sub-assemblies and production assemblies from kits to final assembly of downlead cables and headset assemblies
• Conduct work-in-progress functionality testing of cable and headset assemblies
• Route wires and install electrical components according to specifications and drawings
• Use hand tools and machinery for various assembly tasks, including cutting, crimping, and soldering
• Participate in and/or lead corrective action and feedback teams
• Interpret technical drawings and liaise with Quality and other departments
• Ensure adherence to production, quality standards, and continuous improvement processes

Assembly Operative Requirements:

• Previous experience within a similar role (essential)
• Soldering experience (essential)
• Proven experience in a production environment, with both electrical and mechanical assembly skills (essential)
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (essential)
• Electrical Engineering qualification (desirable)
