The Royal Academy of Music is one of the world's leading conservatoires. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be closely involved with the overall strategy and operations of the UK's oldest conservatoire. It will be based within the Executive Office, a small and close-knit team working support the overall smooth-running of the Academy under the Principal.
The primary purpose of the role will be to clerk all matters relating to the Governing Body and its sub-committees, advising them, the Senior Management Team, and the wider Academy community on best governance practice. The postholder will provide direct administrative support to the Deputy Principal and Director of Finance, who are in, turn, responsible for all financial and educational operational activity at the Academy.
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent administrative and communication skills, be confident and diplomatic, and be capable of building and maintaining excellent working relationships with a variety of stakeholders. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, first-rate organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy and vibrant working environment.
