JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary objectives for the Food and Beverage Manager will be:
To manage the day to day operations of the bar and catering department in order to maximise business opportunities and profitability in line with the company business plan.
To ensure the highest possible standards of Health and Safety and customer care.
The Food and Beverage Manager will focus day to day on the following tasks:
Regularly review day to day and functional menus in order to stimulate demand.
To ensure all Health and Safety procedures and responsibilities are carried out at all times ensure income, expenditure and profit targets are met or exceeded.
Maintain and develop systems of stock control so that profit targets are met.
Ensure that a consistently high level of service is delivered to customers.
Stimulate secondary spend by facility users by way of regular promotional activity.
Ensure that company financial regulations are adhered to in terms of cash handling and reconciliation and invoice processing.
Ensure staff understand and observe matters relating to licensing laws.
To deputise for the General Manager as requested.
To assist the General Manager in providing appropriate staff training and development.
To ensure sufficient staff are available for the safe, high quality functioning of the Club.
To assist in the management of the Clubs quality assurance systems and procedures.
To undertake maintenance and cleaning duties as required.
To act as a main key holder for the Club and be responsible for opening and closing of the building and emergency call-outs.
To undertake any regulatory requirements.
To be responsible and accountable for banking reconciliation.
Act as Duty Manager ensuring that the Club is fully staffed at all times and that a safe and efficient service is provided for the public.
Act as a key holder as required.
To undertake any other duties as may be required by the General Manager to ensure that the business objectives of the contract are achieved.
THE CANDIDATE
The post holder will preferably hold a recognised qualification in Catering, or related subject, first aid certificate and Food and Hygiene Certificate along with strong knowledge of the Leisure or related industry in a small/medium sized enterprise.

Grade: Junior Manager
Annual Leave: 28 days' paid annual leave per year
Pension: NEST Auto Enrolment after 3 months service
Notice Period: 1 Month
