The starting salary for this position is £41,585 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.

We are recruiting for two Senior Coroner's Officers to manage a team of Coroner's Officers covering the county: working with the Police, Hospital Trusts and Funeral Directors, based in Woking.

About the Role
Surrey County Council provides the administrative support to the Senior Coroner in the operation of the Coroner's Court and importantly, supporting bereaved families.
In this role, you will manage the effective progression of referrals, investigations, and inquest cases, ensuring the team is supported to deliver a high quality service to bereaved families. You will also hold your own caseload, working directly with the Coroner responsible for conducting inquests and investigations, and will participate in the on call rota and forensic post-mortems.
