Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, data/communications, and security
• Produce detailed design calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings compliant with UK standards and client requirements
• Collaborate with mechanical and sustainability teams to ensure fully coordinated MEP designs
• Participate in site surveys and liaise with contractors and clients as required
• Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, wiring regulations (BS 7671), and CIBSE standards
• Support tender documentation preparation and technical reporting
• Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and sustainability principles

Candidate Requirements

• Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
• 2–5 years’ experience in electrical building services design, preferably within a consultancy or contracting environment
• Proficient in AutoCAD and electrical design software; Revit experience is advantageous
• Good knowledge of UK wiring regulations, building regulations, and sustainability frameworks
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
• Motivated to develop professionally and work towards chartership
