General Maintenance Officer

Staffing Centre is recruiting for an amazing opportunity for a General Maintenance Officer to join an established Childrens Home based within Essex and Suffolk (max driving distance from Colchester is 45m).

Duties/Accountabilities

• To provide general maintenance service and identify any possible home defects (e.g. decorating, putting up shelves, replacing doors etc).
• To work at the 4 homes (45m from Colchester) when required based upon company needs.
• Performing ad hoc duties.
• Creating maintenance plans.
• Undertaking minor plumbing and electrical work.
• Addressing general repairs within the homes when needed.

What you will need to succeed

• Previous experience within a similar general maintenance position.
• Full UK driving license.
• Ability to carry out work on own initiative.
• Understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
• Experience within a general maintenance role, carrying out building repairs.
