Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people's lives?

A secondary school in Newham is seeking Inclusion Support Mentors to join a brand-new inclusion provision supporting students who need additional guidance to re-engage with their learning and achieve their full potential.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new initiative within a successful multi-school trust. You'll play a key role in mentoring and supporting students within a dedicated inclusion setting, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and successfully reintegrate into mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day support and mentoring to students within the inclusion provision.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Support students' academic progress and personal development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral leads, and external agencies.
• Monitor and record progress, contributing to re-integration plans.
• Assist with wider pastoral duties when required.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have significant pastoral or behaviour support experience, ideally within an educational setting.
• Be resilient, empathetic, and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Be highly organised with strong record-keeping skills.
• Be adaptable and proactive in supporting students' individual needs.
