School Caretakers Needed in and Around Luton

• Location: Luton

• Job Type: Full-time, Temporary, Temporary to Permanent and Permanent positions

• Hourly Rate: £13-17 per hour

We are actively seeking reliable and practical School Caretakers to join our team, supporting various primary and secondary schools across Luton. If you take pride in maintaining safe and welcoming environments, this could be the perfect role for you.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Responsible for opening and closing the school premises.

• Conduct general maintenance and repairs to ensure the school is well-maintained.

• Uphold health & safety standards across the school environment.

• Assist with groundskeeping and provide cleaning support.

• Liaise with contractors and school staff to coordinate maintenance efforts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in caretaking or facilities management is preferred but not essential.

• A proactive and hands-on approach to maintenance and problem-solving.

• COSHH and Legionella

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and contractors.

• Flexibility to work across different school sites in Luton.

• Must be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check if not already possessed.
