Position: Transport Manager

Location: Tilbury

Salary: Circa £50k DOE

Bennett & Game are currently partnering with a leading transport firm based in the Tilbury area, actively seeking a proven Transport Manager to join their successful team.

• Cost-effective management of the transport operation, including the scheduling of vehicles and drivers to maintain the required level of customer service.
• Monitor the transport operation and make recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing transportation, including vehicle maintenance, driver training, and safety requirements.
• Manage and train a team of drivers and other transport staff, including performance management and career development.
• Support the GM in developing and implementing transportation policies and procedures to ensure compliance, consistency, and quality of service.
• Act as the nominated competent person for the operator's licence.

• Management CPC - Essential
• Willingness to be hands on in Planning and Driver Management
• Ability to effectively manage drivers and transport office personnel
• Strong knowledge of transport legislation, driver hours, tachographs, and the Working Time Directive (WTD)
• Knowledge of FORS fleets is desirable

• Negotiable salary: circa £50k DOE
• Monday - Friday role (office hours)
• 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
• On-site parking
