Advanced Practitioner - Carer Assessment Team / kinship

We are looking to recruit a Advanced Practitioner - Carer Assessment Team / kinship within the Social Care industry in Barnet.

This post will sit in the Carer Assessment Team / kinship, where the candidate will be expected to have good experience at undertaking initial viability assessments of family and friends as well as progressing to full Special Guardianship and Connected Carer Assessments. This specialist social work involves preparing reports for both Barnet's fostering panel and also for the court. Work is both virtual and face to face. (in the office roughly once per week).

Responsibilities include:

• Supervising Regulation 24 Foster Carers
• Undertaking Special Guardianship Assessments
• Representing carers at the Fostering Panel
• Providing evidence to the court when necessary
• Working in partnership with the Children's Social Worker
• Connected Persons Assessments
• Giving evidence in Court

Minimum Requirements:

• SWE Registration
• 3-4 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
• Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
• Eligibility to work in the UK
