Pay: £13.02 - £14.74 Dependant on experience
We are currently working with numerous schools in Tower Hamlets and surrounding areas who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a flexible basis. This role is ideal for someone who is available for last-minute assignments starting early in the morning and is open to a position that could potentially become long-term or permanent.
To be an ideal fit for this role you must have a DBS or be willing to apply for one.
Day to Day
Be available to receive phone calls from 7am for same-day assignments.
Work closely with students with special educational needs (SEN) from 8:30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
Assist SEN students in their daily school activities, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed in their educational environment.
Collaborate with teachers and other staff to facilitate a supportive and effective educational experience for all students.
Adapt to varying educational settings and student needs with flexibility and a positive attitude.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN students.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work flexibly and respond to last-minute calls.
A compassionate and patient approach to handling the varied needs of SEN students.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
