VP- Operational Risk Manager

This role will support the Head of Operational Risk in strengthening and embedding the second line Operational Risk Framework. It will provide 2LoD oversight, advice, challenge and independent assurance to the bank and its subsidiaries.

This a senior role within an established team.

My client is a UK Based. Wholesale Banking group, based in London, who are seeking to hire an VP- Operational Risk Manager .

Description

The VP- Operational Risk Manager key part of the team responsible for oversight, challenge, and coordination of operational risk practices across the business.

• Responsibility for enhancing the Operational Risk Management Framework and its associated components (Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSA), incidents, operational scenario analysis etc).

• Providing robust oversight and challenge to RCSA's, risk assessments performed as part of new product / initiative development.

• Enhancing and standardising 2LoD owned policies and procedures. Ensure these polices are understood, communicated and embedded and complied with across the Bank.

• Engagement with 1LoD to ensure policies and procedures adhere to developed standards and guidelines.

• Training and educating the 1LoD to embed the Operational Risk Management Policy

• Preparing risk committee and board papers, as required.

Profile

Requirements for the VP- Operational Risk Manager will require the following:

• Several years of Operational or Enterprise Risk experience operating at Manager/VP level.

• Exposure to Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks and other risk types such as, financial crime, credit, liquidity, conduct etc.

• Financial Services experience or Banking experience is required- with ideally exposure to FX or Payments to support key business areas.

• Professional or industry qualification such as IOR, IRM or equivalent.

Job Offer

Base salary offering 90,000-100,000
