Job Title: Band 8a Clinical Pharmacist Location: Croydon Health Services NHS Trust Band: 8a Start Date: ASAP Duration: Until substantive recruitment is completed Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Rate: £35.11 - £36.11IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Job Overview: Croydon Health Services are urgently seeking a Band 8a Clinical Pharmacist to support ward-based duties on an interim basis. The successful candidate must have recent NHS hospital experience, including working on wards, and be confident using EPMA systems-ideally Cerner. Key Responsibilities: Conduct drug histories and medicines reconciliation on admission Provide clinical screening and therapeutic drug reviews Process discharge prescriptions and To Take Away (TTA) medication screening Provide ward-based clinical support to multi-disciplinary teams Use of Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA), specifically Cerner Ensure compliance with Trust policies and medicines safety protocols Essential Requirements: GPhC registered Clinical Pharmacist Proven NHS hospital experience Experience in clinical ward-based pharmacy Strong EPMA system knowledge - Cerner preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team Excellent clinical and communication skills
