Security Automation Engineer

Security Automation Engineer - 6-Month Contract - London - Inside IR35

My client, a leading global investment bank is looking for a Security Automation Engineer to modernise and automate security controls across the organisation. You'll develop custom tooling, integrate automation into pipelines, and replace manual security processes with controls-as-code and policy-as-code solutions

This is an engineering role (not SOC operations) focused on building scalable automation for multiple security controls and supporting wider security teams through improved efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop automation for security controls and configuration
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines using controls-as-code and policy-as-code
• Build scripts, tools, and dashboards to improve efficiency and visibility

Experience:

• Strong scripting skills: Python, Bash, PowerShell
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code / Policy as Code
• Background in engineering or automating a range of security controls (firewall experience beneficial)
• Understanding of DevSecOps culture
