A Chartered Surveying firm specialising in Design and Planning, located in a rural location on the outskirts of Tenterden, in the Kent countryside has an opportunity got a Planning & Development Surveyor. They are seeking either a skilled and experienced Planning and Development Surveyor, a recent graduate with relevant field experience to join their team. This role might also suit a Rural Surveyor, a Building Surveyor, a Planner or perhaps someone with Estate Management background. The ideal candidate will possess excellent professional, client and administrative skills and have a strong understanding of both local and national planning systems. This role is not just about managing tasks but also contributing significantly as a fee earner for the company.

The position will be office based initially but they would consider some remote working for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

    Provide expert advice on rural and urban planning and development projectsConduct site and project appraisalsPrepare planning applications and appealsManage and coordinate planning projects from inception to completionLiaise with clients, team members, local authorities and other stakeholdersEnsure compliance with all relevant legislation and planning policiesDevelop and maintain strong client relationshipsContribute to business development and fee-earning activities
Requirements:

    Proven experience in planning and development, or a recent graduate with relevant experienceExcellent administrative and organisational skillsStrong understanding of local and national planning systemsAbility to manage projects and teams effectivelyAt least AssocRICS,MRICS or MRTPI qualifiedSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage othersStrong communication and interpersonal skills
