Our local authority client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Mental Health to lead and manage all adult mental health services across the borough. This critical leadership role involves overseeing statutory services including assessment, safeguarding, hospital discharge, AMHP, DoLS, and enablement.

The successful candidate will manage large teams, significant budgets, and develop strong partnerships with health and voluntary sector organisations. You will ensure service delivery aligns with legislation, drives innovation, promotes the social model of disability, and delivers positive outcomes for Barnet residents.

Key Requirements:

• Professional qualification in social work or occupational therapy (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, DipCOT)

• Senior management experience within mental health or adult social care

• In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory frameworks

• Proven leadership, partnership, and budget management skills
