About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced MEP Estimator with a strong background in ductwork estimating to join our team in Central London. This is an office-based role that requires a detail-oriented professional with experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) cost estimation, particularly within HVAC and ductwork systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for ductwork and associated MEP projects.
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to assess material, labour, and equipment costs.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Work closely with project managers and design teams to ensure accurate estimates and project feasibility.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Keep up to date with industry pricing, regulations, and best practices.
• Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new contracts.
• Maintain and update estimating software and databases.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Estimator in the MEP sector, with a particular focus on ductwork.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, ventilation, and associated mechanical services.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Desirable:

• Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or Trimble estimating software.
• Knowledge of UK building regulations and industry standards.
• Previous experience working within a contracting or consultancy environment.
