EYFS Teaching Assistant

Recruiting for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support 3 children with mild ADHD & Autism in the reception area of a Hornchurch School. For the role the children will need daily routine and learn through play to settle and engage with the rest of the class during the school day.

To start as soon as possible - Monday to Friday 8.15am - 3.15 (30 minute lunch) term time only.

EYFS Teaching Assistant:

• To have an understanding of phonics and EYFS curriculum is essential.
• Working alongside the teacher to be a role model and guide for children.
• Experience, knowledge and skills working with Early Years children that have Learning Difficulties ie Autism & ADHD
• Knowledge and an understanding of the EYFS curriculum and phonics to support the children with their learning and development.
• Building intellectual, social, emotional and physical skills whilst promoting enjoyment of learning.
• To keep a safe environment and be aware of all Safeguarding Policies and procedures.
• Happy to assist with personal care if needed.
• Qualified with a relevant Early Years, L2/L3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
