Primary Learning Support Assistant

TeacherActive are seeking a dedicated Primary Learning Support Assistant to work closely with students on a 1:1 basis in our Witham-based specialist school. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to provide tailored support and help students achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

As a Primary Learning Support Assistant you will need to provide 1:1 support to primary-aged students with SEND, tailoring learning strategies to meet their individual needs, assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and promoting academic, social, and emotional development, and foster a safe and supportive learning environment, encouraging student engagement and confidence.

This school are looking for an individual to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective support and monitor and record student progress, reporting to relevant stakeholders.

Everyone employed by a school must have an upgraded DBS on file with the updating service. If you don't, we can help by providing you with a direct application link. An OSPC (Overseas Police Check) is required if you have worked abroad for more than six months in the last five years. All school environments will need to have these as a safeguarding measure.

The successful candidate will need:

• Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEND is essential.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for supporting the learning and development of children with diverse needs.
• Commitment: Ability to work full-time in a permanent position and contribute positively to the school community.
