  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of core microservices in Go, with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and performance.
  • Optimize and oversee message-driven systems using Kafka (Strimzi) to support robust data streaming.
  • Manage and secure cloud resources, including VPCs and GCP Buckets, ensuring compliance with best practices.
  • Implement infrastructure as code to enhance scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the platform.
  • Participate in architectural discussions, advocating for cloud-native designs and prioritising system reliability and performance.

Requirements:

  • Are highly proficient with Kubernetes (preferably GKE) and familiar with tools like Istio (service mesh), Helm, and Kustomize.
  • Have hands-on experience managing and optimising message brokers.
  • Possess strong CI/CD skills, with expertise in tools like GitHub Actions and ArgoCD for automated deployments.
  • Have a solid background in infrastructure as code (Pulumi or Terraform) and container orchestration.
  • Have extensive experience building and maintaining microservices architectures, particularly with gRPC.
  • Have some experience coding services in Go or similar programming languages.

Advantageous:

  • Have experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack, or FluentBit.
  • Are familiar with Python and have supported migrations from legacy systems.
  • Are experienced in managing cloud infrastructure on GCP, including VPC setup and security best practices (e.g., SOC 2 compliance).
  • Have worked with AI/ML solutions and understand how to integrate models into production environments.
  • Have maintained Kafka/Strimzi in a clustered setup.
  • Have a good understanding of best practices in user authentication, authorization, and secure API design.
