ALS Assistant

• Location: Lewisham
• Job Type: Full-time, Long-term until end of academic year
• Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday 8:30 AM - 1:40 PM

We are seeking an ALS (Additional Learning Support) Assistant with a strong background in Engineering, Maths, or Science to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and a passion for supporting students in their educational journey.

• Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs and disabilities within the fields of Engineering, Maths, and Science.
• Work closely with teaching staff to implement individual learning plans and ensure all students can access the curriculum effectively.
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of learning materials that cater to individual student needs.
• Monitor and support student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
• Facilitate a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.

• Strong academic background in Engineering, Maths, or Science.
• Proven experience working with SEND students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
