Building Services Supervisor

A world leading University is recruiting a supervisor/ team leader for their building services division to work on one of their iconic central London Campuses, based near London Bridge. This is a client-side role, working on campus at London Bridge, 5 days per week, Monday - Friday 8-4 (35 hours)

Within this varied building supervisor role, you will responsible for:

• Engineer and subcontractors day to day management
• Documenting and ensuring safe working to risk and method statements for internal engineers
• Checking contractor risk and method statements and safe systems of work, and authorising permits to work
• Logging and tracking planned preventative maintenance records and inspections.
• Supporting with engineers performance and development reviews
• Trouble shooting and attending to critical plant breakdown and maintenance

You should have a firm working knowledge of building services maintenance, CAFM systems and building regulations and be able to get the best from a team of engineers. You may have been an engineer, or you may be keen to undertake engineering professional qualifications which would aide your development within this role.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for learning. Whatever you have done before, you should be able to demonstrate that you have progressed within this, and have transferable skills to make this role a success.

For this building services supervisor role we are looking for:

• A track record of working in a similar role within building services
• Experience of working with CAFM systems
• Experience of organising and managing engineers, scheduling and allocating works
• An understanding of health and safety and building regulations, this may include an IOSH
• An enthusiastic learner, with friendly communication skills
• Building services qualifications would be desirable, (M&E or Fabric)
