An established and growing luxury hospitality and property investment group is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead day-to-day financial reporting and management accounting across a diverse, multi-entity portfolio.

This is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, offering significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to shape financial processes within a values-led organisation. The group partners with independent luxury hotels and hospitality businesses, combining commercial excellence with a strong commitment to sustainability, wellbeing, and local communities.

The role

As Head of Finance, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information to support decision-making across the group. You will oversee core accounting operations, enhance reporting and controls, and mentor a growing finance team, while working closely with operational leaders across hotels and properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts across all group entities
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling in partnership with the Group Finance Director
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain strong internal controls
• Oversee the migration from on-premise accounting software to cloud-based platforms, ensuring data integrity
• Utilise FP&A tools to enhance group reporting, consolidation, and dashboarding
• Produce bespoke financial reports and performance metrics for senior stakeholders
• Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team (currently 2 direct reports, with planned growth)
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to support annual audits and statutory reporting
• Assist with internal audit reviews and the implementation of recommended improvements
• Partner with hotel general managers and property teams to interpret financial performance and identify trends
• Continuously review and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency, control, and insight

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA preferred; ACA or ACCA also considered)
• 3-5+ years' post-qualification experience in management accounting or financial reporting
• Strong experience with accounting systems and exposure to cloud migration projects
• Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with FP&A tools (e.g. Datarails, Adaptive, Anaplan)
• Excellent analytical and financial modelling capabilities
• Background in hospitality, real estate, or family office environments is advantageous
• Strong communication skills with confidence working with senior leadership
