We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at a vibrant and inclusive educational setting. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing tailored educational support to students with special educational needs. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to create a nurturing and effective learning environment, helping students achieve their full potential.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students, ensuring tailored support.
• Provide one-to-one support to students with a range of SEN, focusing on specific educational, social, and emotional needs.
• Adapt resources and strategies to meet the diverse needs of individual students, ensuring accessibility and engagement in learning activities.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to enhance the learning and development of SEN students, contributing to a cohesive educational team.
• Monitor and support the social and emotional development of students, acting as a positive role model and providing guidance.
• Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons that are tailored to individual needs, enhancing learning outcomes.
• Encourage and support students in communicating their needs and ideas, fostering an environment of open communication and mutual respect.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably with SEN students.
• Understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs and the strategies that can assist in overcoming these challenges.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, demonstrating initiative and dedication.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with students, staff, and parents.
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to working with children, tailored to their individual circumstances.
• Relevant qualifications in education or special needs education are advantageous, such as a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
