About the Security Vetting Support Officer Role

As a Security Vetting Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of the company's personnel. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the recruitment process by obtaining security clearances and conducting background checks for all new employees
• Managing confidential and complex vetting enquiries
• Serving as the primary point of contact for vetting-related issues and problems
• Liaising with external agencies, such as UKSV, to facilitate the security clearance process
• Providing support to the Security Services department and contributing to departmental projects

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate for the Security Vetting Support Officer role will possess the following skills and experience:

• Extensive knowledge of HMG BPSS and UKSV vetting processes
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
• Meticulous attention to detail and a professional approach
• Proficiency in using electronic vetting databases and IT platforms
• A positive and proactive attitude, with a commitment to success

If you have experience in the defence industry or possess relevant vetting and personnel security qualifications, that would be an added advantage.
