Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Site Engineer
Location: South East
£37,000 plus overtime, standby, shared van, annual company bonus, private healthcare, private pension, specialist tools, pension and 30 days holiday inclusive of statutory days.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Fitter/Mechanical Site Engineer to join a dynamic and fast-paced external site team. We're looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to work alongside an Electrical Site Engineer, carrying out installations, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of pumps and associated equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend nationwide installations and breakdowns when required, ensuring company service standards are maintained.
- Service, repair, and assemble pumps and pumping systems.
- Complete detailed site reports following each visit, obtaining customer signatures and submitting documentation promptly.
- Maintain company procedures and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Represent the business professionally, promoting products and services wherever possible.
- Ensure the company vehicle is properly stocked, maintained, and equipped with required tools.
- Observe and uphold all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Be flexible and adaptable to business needs.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the wider engineering team.
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar mechanical, fitting, or maintenance role (essential).
- Experience with pumps or related systems (desirable).
- Based within a commutable distance of Orpington.
- Understanding of the mechanical or pumping industry (desirable).
Qualifications / Training
- Recognised mechanical qualification (essential).
- Confined Space, First Aid, CSCS, and SSSTS training (desirable - can be provided if not already held).
