Location: Dover, Kent

Salary: up to £35,000

Hours: Monday to Friday 7am - 4pm or 8am - 5pm

Is a well-established logistics and distribution company who play a vital role in the movement and handling of goods across the UK and Europe.

Role Summary:

We're seeking a motivated and ambitious Warehouse Supervisor that can support the Warehouse Manager with the day to day running of the warehouse. This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to develop their career, as the successful candidate will be working towards a clear and structured progression into the Warehouse Manager role within 24 months.

Benefits:

• 20 days annual leave, increasing with service (up to 25 days) + bank holidays
• Paid 5 hours for Saturday's but generally only required for 2-3 hours
• Bank holidays paid at a premium if worked, plus a £75 bonus
• Receive a day in lieu if you work a bank holiday
• Clear progression route to Warehouse Manager within 2 years

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

• Receive, unload and check incoming stock against orders.
• Sort and store items in correct locations.
• Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
• Perform regular stock checks and maintain inventory records.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Mentor and train new starters.
• Supervise daily warehouse operations.
• Ensure a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to meet operational goals.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Provide cover and support for the Warehouse Manager as needed.

Experience and skills required for this position:

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Operative or Supervisor.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
• The ability to work in cold store and freezer environments.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and a desire to grow professionally.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Basic IT skills (familiarity with inventory or warehouse management systems is a plus).
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
• An understanding of warehouse procedures and stock control systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
