Job Title: Therapy Team Manager

Hours: Full-time (typically 37.5 hours per week)
Job PurposeAs the Therapy Team Manager at Brainkind, you will lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary therapy team providing specialist rehabilitation to adults with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, person-centred therapy services, effective team management, and continuous service development in line with Brainkind's values and clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and operational management across a team including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, and therapy assistants
- Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and evidence-based neurorehabilitation services tailored to individual needs
- Oversee staff supervision, appraisal, clinical governance, and professional development within the therapy team
- Lead on recruitment, workforce planning, and performance management of therapy staff
- Contribute to multidisciplinary care planning, service user reviews, and outcome measurement
- Work closely with nursing, care, and medical teams to ensure integrated service delivery
- Maintain service quality through audit, evaluation, and service improvement initiatives
- Monitor and manage therapy resources, budgets, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with relevant clinical, professional, and regulatory standards
- Represent the therapy service in internal and external meetings, inspections, and reviews
Person SpecificationEssential:
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant allied health profession (e.g. physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, psychology)
- Registration with appropriate professional body (e.g. HCPC)
- Significant post-qualification experience in neurorehabilitation or acquired brain injury services
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and risk management abilities
- Experience in supervising, mentoring, and developing clinicians
- Excellent communication, teamworking, and organisational skills
- Commitment to person-centred care and evidence-based practice
