Senior Project Planner - Tier 1 Main Contractor - London

Breif:
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Planner (Asta) to join a leading UK construction company based in their London office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished planning professional to focus on multiple sites within the Residential sector.

Role Overview:
As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for updating and monitoring an integrated programme, adapting it as needed throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires a methodical, proactive, and data-driven planner with strong stakeholder engagement skills, including direct communication with clients and their representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Update and monitor the project programme, ensuring it remains accurate and reflective of the project status.
• Provide in-depth analysis of programme risks and opportunities, offering mitigating actions where needed.
• Work hands-on with the project team to develop the most effective working programme, covering all phases from design through to handover.
• Chair and minute programme, logistics, and delivery workshops.
• Capture and report on as-built progress data.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure all parties are aligned with the project schedule and milestones.
• Communicate key programme information and risks to senior management.
• Support project delivery by identifying and addressing potential issues before they arise.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in Asta Powerproject or similar planning software (training in other systems may be offered).
• Strong experience in planning within a live construction site environment.
• Hands-on, proactive approach with a focus on problem-solving.
• Ability to think critically and methodically.
• Experience in project controls and a strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of the full development lifecycle, including design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Understanding of key UK construction contracts and their features.
