AV Service Engineer

Job Title: AV Service Engineer - Residential Home Automation

Location: London (with travel across high-end residential sites)

Salary: 40,000 - 45,000 DOE + Benefits

I'm working with a respected client in the smart home and AV integration space, who is looking for an experienced AV Service Engineer with a strong background in residential systems and hands-on experience with Control4, Lutron, and other home automation technologies.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a company known for delivering high-spec residential projects across London, working on some of the most prestigious homes in the city.

The Role

As an AV Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting a wide range of residential AV and smart home systems. You'll be working in occupied homes, so professionalism and attention to detail are critical.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve faults across home automation and AV systems
• Provide ongoing support for existing installations
• Perform scheduled maintenance visits and system health checks
• Work with Control4, Lutron, multi-room AV, lighting control, and IP networks
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure timely and high-quality service
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in residential AV service and/or installation
• Strong technical knowledge of Control4, Lutron, and related technologies
• Confident with network setup and fault-finding (IP, switches, routers)
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently
• Full UK driving licence
• London-based or commutable to central London
