Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Panel Beater to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicle bodywork to its original condition. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively with various tools and equipment. The Panel Beater will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality workmanship.

Duties

• Assess damaged vehicles and determine the necessary repairs required.
• Use hand tools and power tools to remove dents, scratches, and other imperfections from vehicle panels.
• Weld and assemble parts as needed to restore structural integrity.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
• Follow schematics and technical drawings to complete repairs accurately.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair processes and timelines.
• Perform equipment repair and maintenance as required to ensure optimal performance of tools.
• Assist in heavy lifting tasks when moving large panels or components.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Panel Beater or in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is essential.
• Previous experience in customer service is advantageous, demonstrating the ability to interact positively with clients.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics is highly desirable.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety while performing duties.
