Warehouse Night Shift Manager

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Night Shift Manager based in Reading to lead warehouse operations, ensuring efficient order processing, safety compliance, and team performance throughout the night shift. Description

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Night Shift Manager will oversee the end-to-end operations of the night shift. You will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring that all activities-from goods-in to order dispatch-are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of accuracy.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing, coaching, and developing the night shift team to achieve KPIs.
• Ensuring all warehouse processes adhere to health and safety standards.
• Monitoring workflow to optimise productivity and minimise errors.
• Implementing continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
• Coordinating with other departments to maintain smooth operational flow.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Profile

The ideal candidate will be an experienced warehouse leader with a track record of managing teams in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. You will be proactive, hands-on, and able to drive performance through engagement and strong leadership.

You will bring:

• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within warehousing/logistics.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
• A flexible approach, with the ability to work night shifts and adapt to operational demands.

Job Offer

• Basic salary - £40k
• Discretionary bonus
