Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Kilburn

Your new roleWe are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with complex special educational needs in a mainstream primary school located in Kilburn. This full-time role is available for an immediate start and offers long-term potential for the right candidate.

What you'll need to succeedYou will be working 1:1 with a child who requires consistent emotional and learning support throughout the school day. The pupil presents with communication and sensory processing difficulties and benefits from a structured, nurturing approach. While the child does not display aggressive behaviour such as biting, they do require a calm and patient adult who can implement tailored strategies and work closely with the SENCO and wider team.

Essential requirements:

• Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in KS1 or EYFS
• Ability to build trust and rapport with pupils with additional needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
