Catering Assistant

We are looking for a motivated Catering Assistant to join our team, working across multiple secure sites in Reading.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you'll support the daily catering operations, contribute to a positive team environment, and deliver great service to staff and visitors.

You'll be involved in everything from food preparation and service to maintaining hygiene standards and supporting stock management.

As this position requires flexibility and travel between sites, you'll need your own transport and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments.

• Assist with food preparation, service, and general kitchen duties
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and health & safety standards
• Support stock management and replenishment
• Create attractive food and counter displays
• Handle transactions and operate tills (when required)
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients

• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own transport (essential)
• Must be a British national, born in the UK (due to site security)
• Valid Basic DBS check (essential)
• Previous catering or kitchen experience desirable
• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different work environments
