As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for the effective daily planning of fleet and sub-contracted vehicles, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries across the UK and Europe.

Description

  • Planning, routing, and scheduling of national and international road transport
  • Managing driver availability, legal compliance, and tachograph regulations
  • Monitoring real-time deliveries and providing solutions to any delays or disruptions
  • Liaising with customers, internal teams, and drivers to ensure smooth logistics operations
  • Using transport management systems (TMS) to track shipments and generate performance data
  • Supporting the team with continuous improvement initiatives around planning efficiency

Profile

  • Proven experience in a transport planning or logistics coordination role
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK and European road network
  • Proficiency in using transport management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to support shift-based operations when required
